The Media Lied! The Media Lied! – Roundup 1/9/06

*The Media Lied! The Media Lied!

Ogre’s Politics and Views makes a good point:
If President Bush, when discussing the war in Iraq, relied on sources of information that were inaccurate, but no one knew at the time were inaccurate, and said some things that may not have been correct, lied, then...

When the media announced that the miners in WV were alive, by relying on information that was incorrect at the time, even if it was not known, doesn't that mean that the media lied? Now can we all run around repeating, "The Media Lied?"

*Where are the Feminists when We Need Them?

There’s a holocaust of sorts going on in India. This time it has nothing to do with religion but everything to do with sex. The female sex to be exact:
More than 10m female births in India may have been lost to abortion and sex selection in the past 20 years, according to medical research.

Researchers in India and Canada for the Lancet journal said prenatal selection and selective abortion was causing the loss of 500,000 girls a year.
Funny, but I don’t recall hearing the protests of NOW on this issue. Suppose that has anything to do with the fact that the feminist movement in America has no interest in helping women in any way that would do harm to their precious “right” to murder their babies on a whim?

*More Evil Republicans Brought to Trial

Oh wait, I’m sorry, these guys are all Democrats. I guess that’s why it took the Democrat prosecutor so long to bring them to trial, and why the mainstream media isn’t plastering them all over the screen the way they are the supposed “Republican” scandal involving Jack Abramoff and the hit-job on Tom Delay.

*Book of Daniel Debuts in Last Place

Screaming “Get a clue!” to the anti-religion bigots at NBC, millions of viewers decided not to tune in to the networks latest show about religion that bears no resemblance whatsoever to the vast majority of actually religious people in this country. It would probably behoove NBC to hire a writer who knows anything about people of faith that he/she didn’t learn on any of the other hateful productions Hollywood has churned out, but you won’t catch me holding my breath.
