Jack Abramoff Pleads Guilty

Today was a big day for the Jack Abramoff scandal.

From the AP via Breitbart.com:
Lobbyist Jack Abramoff pleaded guilty Tuesday to federal charges of conspiracy, tax evasion and mail fraud, clearing the way for him to cooperate in a massive government investigation of influence peddling involving members of Congress. He faces 30 years in prison if convicted of the charges.
As always, the place to go for details is Michelle Malkin’s blog.
For the record, my 2 cents is this:
  • There needs to be some real clarification made on what constitutes a legal campaign donation with all the expectations that go with it (I don’t give money to politicians that I don’t expect to vote my way.)
  • If it was up to the mainstream media we’d have never known that Democrats are involved in this as well.
  • I hope every single politician that is guilty of a crime (whether Republican or Democrat) goes down with Abramoff.
