Casting Out Right Wing Demons -- Roundup 1/8/06

*Casting Out Right Wing Demons

Liberals can’t win elections any more, so they’re reduced to this
I’m here to watch a small group of United Methodist pastors who’ve come together to conduct a “Ritual of Social Exorcism” service to rid the White House of the demons that George Bush and his cronies have unleashed: deception, white male ego, greed, arrogance, fear, hubris, hegemony, and ignorance.
And I’m sure that Methodists everywhere are grateful for yet another demonstration of why people don’t take them seriously anymore.

*American Entertainers: Bush the “Greatest Terrorist in the World”

From LGF:
[UNICEF “goodwill ambassador” Harry] Belafonte led a delegation of Americans including actor Danny Glover, Princeton University scholar Cornel West and farmworker advocate Dolores Huerta that met the Venezuelan president for more than six hours late Saturday and attended his television and radio broadcast on Sunday.

“No matter what the greatest tyrant in the world, the greatest terrorist in the world, George W Bush says, we’re here to tell you: Not hundreds, not thousands, but millions of the American people ... support your revolution,” Belafonte told Mr Chavez during the broadcast.
I’d like to personally invite Mr. Belafonte, Mr. Glover, and anyone else who prefers the governing style of petty thugs like Hugo Chavez to American democracy to please stay in Venezuela!

Michelle Malkin agrees: HEY, HARRY BELAFONTE: DON'T COME BACK!

*The Florida Supreme Court Strikes Again

Shilling for Al Gore in 2000 and helping to murder Terry Shiavo wasn’t enough. Now they’re after parents who want to spare their children from the grist mills of public education.
The Florida Supreme Court struck down a statewide voucher system Thursday that allowed children to attend private schools at taxpayer expense - a program Gov. Jeb Bush considered one of his proudest achievements. It was the nation's first statewide voucher program.

In a 5-2 ruling, the high court said the program violates the Florida Constitution's requirement of a uniform system of free public education.

*Sheehan: Bush Worse than Bin Laden

Yet another example of how screeching liberals like Sheehan do not reside in the same solar system as normal people:
"I would say 30,000 more or less have died as a result of the initial incursion and the ongoing violence against Iraqis," said George on December 12, 2005. Even if one accepts this very low guess-ti-mate by George, his policies have been responsible for ten times the 3000 deaths on September 11, 2001. By his own admission, he is ten times the terrorist that Osama ever was. If George says 30,000…who knows what the truthful total is.
I actually shudder to link to such a site, but the more exposure loonies like Cindy Sheehan get, the easier it will be to avoid suffering through a Democrat in the White House. The more people who get the real version of what these moonbats are saying (unfiltered by the sympathetic media) the better. For instance do you think CNN will report that to Sheehan, the terrorists being killed in Iraq are morally the equivalent of American citizens? Or that she doubts that terrorists are being killed at all? She said it:
Bill O'Reilly and George Bush define a terrorist as someone who "kills innocent men, women and children." Am I the only one who sees the irony and stunning hypocrisy in this statement?" Who do Bill and George think are being killed in Iraq? Well-trained and an organized Army? Terrorists? We all know that is false. This is who is being killed in Iraq: living breathing human beings, identical to Americans, or any other human beings on earth, who are just trying to go about their lives trying to survive in a war torn country that was no threat to America or our way of life.
This is the base of the Democratic party. Spread the word.

*Louis Farrakhan as BET.com’s 2005 Person of the Year

In defending the ridiculous choice, BET blames it on the viewers:
They agreed that he has done what no other Black leader has: “mobilize hundreds of thousands of Blacks around the issues of atonement and empowerment, and to convince the masses of our people that we must be the primary catalysts and engines for positive change in our communities,”
Is that what he does? I thought he just ran around promoting crazy conspiracy theories, stirring up racial prejudice, and generally embarrasing Democrats who have to put up with him if they want to keep the black voters under their thumb.

Jack Lewis:
The essence of an Uncle Tom is a Black person who looks to white people to ask "How'm I supposed to act" and then does it. Liberals tell Blacks they're supposed to by whining, victims who always support Liberal causes, and BET portrays that. Farrakhan is a bigot, and who else can people, who volunteer to be victims, look up to but a bigot that loudly blames others for any problem Blacks have.

*Another Veteran Vs. a Defeatist Democrat

SATURDAY AFTERNOON, I attended an "Out of Iraq" forum at a local church, featuring a keynote address by anti-war Congressman Bob Filner. After his speech, Filner opened up the floor for questions. He fielded a few softballs from the largely friendly crowd.
Then he called on me...

I love reading about confrontations like this. Dems generally live their lives free from having to confront actual veterans after they’ve spent their 15 minutes on TV trashing them or their mission. So on the few occasions when they expose themselves at town-hall type meetings, it’s great fun to watch them squirm.
